Excerpts...
How has life changed post the Coronavirus Pandemic? Well, life has changed, certainly because we as actors, we never had one place doing one thing and we always like travelling and whether it's for work for meetings or whatever it is, we're mostly out of the house. So it's a pleasant change, but it gets to you sometimes. And when get you we just got to reassure ourselves that, you know, it's for the betterment of the country and, you know, you're trying to play a role of a superhero of sorts, you know, by just staying at home.
How are you keeping yourself busy amid quarantine?Well, I mean it's you just got to get up, you know, every morning thinking it's gonna be a working day. And you gotta make a schedule. So I make like an itinerary the night before, and I just figured out what I want to do. You know, I sometimes I have some interviews lined up some busier that. Otherwise, I start my day with by just doing the household chores, you know, like, you know, a bit of cleaning around. Were getting into your, you know, everyday clothes, just like how you would when you were supposed to get out. This makes you feel more active than just being in your PJs. I think that is a thumbs up for me. I have to do that. I woke up during the evenings and everything in the middle is just about spending time with family watching movies. You know, reading about the world news, and trying to learn the guitar and yeah, make some funny videos on
Tik Tok as well. Whenever I get an opportunity and connect the audience and I'm loving the time. And that connected me and my fans are having been going live quite often on my Instagram. So that's good as well.
Star Talk: 'Blank' star Karanvir Sharma says he wants to work with Zoya Akhtar
What kind of scripts are you working on currently?I was going on go on the floor with one of my feature films. It's not it's tentatively it's not titled yet actually. So not good for me to just give that name out yet. But yeah, so I'm just rushing through that script, but not much honestly, you know, just refrain take this time as like downtime, and just finished a music video in Assam. So excited about that.
What is your forte as an actor?Well, my forte as an actor is honestly, voice modulation, that's something that I used to do when I was part of the actors prepares as well. I learned early on that I was good with like modulating voices and bit of mimicry as well. So I like doing that. I think that goes a long way when you have like a good diction can control over your voice and just emphasizes your character when you go for dubbing and everything and if it's not seeing sound, or you're not doing like a live play or something. Besides that, I think if you talk about our acting genre that I prefer a comedy. I've not got much of an opportunity to be part of a comedy Series besides one, which I did with
Manoj Joshi, but I think something that comes easy to me is that what I did in my film 'Blank' action, I did it in '24' as well. So I love you know, that whole, that rough action hero kind of image as well. So rough and tough boy, and everything. Yeah. So that's kind of my forte in that.
A director and an actor you wish to work with?Well, certainly I loved 'Gully Boy'. I mean, I've been following
Zoya Akhtar's work since Donkey Kong years. And I think she's fantastic. I would love to work with Zoya Akhtar, for sure. And as an actor, I think especially after me and
Alia Bhatt did ad film together which is about to release after senior professionalism and how hard she works and how down to earth she is and how carefree she is, she's damn cool, so I would like to work with her again, for sure. And my all-time favourite is
Priyanka Chopra. So anytime so I can choose one.
What message would you like to give to everyone during this time?Just hang on, man, you know, even if it takes longer, and even if it's extended, it's eventually better for us. You know, it's the faster we can resume our normalcy of day to day living. So just hang on and everyone is in the same boat. I'm in the same boat. You guys are in the same boat. So it's alright. So just stay safe. Stay indoors and use this time to chill.
